Mexico (it sounds so sweet, I just had to go...)

Yesterday I got back from a book-buying trip to Guadalajara, Mexico. It was my fourth time attending the Feria Internacional de Libros (International Book Fair, affectionately known as FIL), but the event is so huge that there are still large parts that I haven't yet seen. For three days a co-worker and I wandered from booth to booth, examining Spanish language books, DVDs and CDs to purchase for the Library's collections. The fourth day was supposed to be reserved for site-seeing, but I ran into a few other librarians who raved enough about some publishers I'd overlooked that we ended up spending the last few hours of the day back at the FIL. If all goes as planned, the items that we bought should start showing up on our shelves within the next few months. Nuevos libros en Espanol -- woo-hoo! I'll try to post photos from the trip tomorrow.
